IYT Sailing Courses and Certification

Paralos Yachts in collaboration with Kalamaki Sailing School offer tailor made “training and vacation” packages which drive to internationally recognized International Yacht Training (IYT) certifications.

All levels of recreational certificates are supported, from International Crew Sail to Yacht Master Coastal Sail. Improve your skills and get a certification recognized by authorities and charter companies worldwide.

Learn from experienced professional instructors and practice sailing in the waters of Saronic Gulf.

All courses driving to certification are offered in English, French or German language and based on five days cycles (theory and practice at sea included).

Courses and certifications

International Crew Sail.An introduction to sailing for beginners wishing to become an active crew member on board a sailing yacht.

VHF Marine Radio Operator (Short range).Students will learn to use effectively in marine communications board radios and handheld radios, EPIRBs, SARTs, AIS and DSC-enabled radios.

International Bareboat Skipper Sail (or ICC certificate).A course suitable for candidates who already possess the International Crew Certificate or have proven yachting experience, wishing to obtain a certification qualifies them to charter bareboat in Mediterranean, West Indies and elsewhere.

Yacht Master Coastal Sail. A course suitable for experienced yachtsmen and women wishing to upgrade their skills and learn advances sailing techniques.

Training Cruises

Sailors or freshener skippers wishing to intensively practice at sea sailing techniques and register miles under the guidance of a professional instructor can participate in a one week or a weekend training trip in Saronic Gulf or Cyclades islands.

Accommodation during the courses

We provide to students accommodation packages at competitive prices. Trainees can stay either in a hotel nearby Alimos marina or on board boats berthed in the marina. Tram and bus lines offer fast access to the center of Athens to enjoy the touristic aspect of the sailing courses.
